Pride is a wonderful event to recognise the importance of our diverse community and show the world that London is an open and inclusive city.

The fact that people still face discrimination, homophobia and violence because of who they are and who they love is unacceptable.

I am proud to stand with London’s LGBTIQA+ family today and every day and to have signed the Pride politician’s pledge to make London the best LGBT+ city in the world and ensure LGBTIQA+ people have freedom to be safe, freedom to be healthy and freedom to be visible.
